Indepedent Agent Compensation

Competitive commissions with residual income for renewals

Licensed agents affiliated with The Insurance Store are paid on a commission basis only. These commissions are earned by selling insurance products directly to their customers.  The commisions vary considerably depending on the type of insurance and the carrier.  Some companies pay more upfront or in the initial year while others may offer better programs for building residual income through renewals for subsequent years.  A combination of both is ideal.

Compensation for Medicare Advantage plans and supplements are very competitive with industry standards.  In addition, we provide incentives and rewards for production and effort..

Referrals to other agents

In addition to selling insurance products themselves, our agents have the opportunity to share in commissions or receive fees paid for referring business to other agents in our organization.  This allows the agent, to receive compensation for products beyond their level of expertise while being able to focus on products they enjoy offering to their clients.  Due to compliance and the training required, Long Term Care Insurance and Medicare are often referred to our agents with extensive experience in these areas. 

Bonus Programs

As an agency, we are able to meet production requirements required by the companies we represent which may be otherwise unattainable by an agent on their own.  This often qualifies our agency for the carriers bonus programs.  These bonuses are pooled and shared with our agents on a quarterly basis.  The agent is paid a bonus for each application approved that quarter.
